Fitlet H mini PC is Powered by AMD A10 Micro-6700T SoC

At the beginning of the year, Compulab announced several Fitlet mini PCs powered by AMD Mullins processors. Missing from the original offering was the top of the line A10 Micro-6700T quad core processor, but the company’s latest Fitlet H integrates the more powerful, yet still low power, processor.

fitlet-h

Fitlet-H can run Windows 7/8 (32-bit or 64-bit),  Linux 32-bit and 64-bit including the official Linux Mint 17 MATE (64-bit) distribution for Fitlet mini PCs, as well as an unnamed embedded OS. The package includes Fitlet-H, a 12V/3A power supply, an HDMI to DVI adapter, a 3.5mm to RCA cable, WiFi antennas, and mini serial to DB9-female adapter cable. The company mentions Fitlet H “offers thermal headroom than fitlet B, I or X” based on low-end Mullins processors, and this is possible because Fitlet H is a larger computer (16x16cm) compared to the other fitlet mini PCs (0.8 cm x 8.3 cm).

Compulab Fitlet-H is not in stock right now, but should be available very soon, and is listed on TinyGreenPC.com for 330 GBP ($516) as well as Amazon US with the expected price being $436. The 5-year warranty may contribute to the relatively high price. You’ll also need to add RAM, storage, and an operating system to get a working system. Further details on the latest Fitlet H should soon be available on Compulab Fitlet product page.

  1. At this price R9 graphic, 2x2GB SODIMM DDR3L-1333 (total of 4BG) and cheapest King**** 60GB SSD DRIVE could be included with that ”low” cost desing.

expected price of 436$US is too expensive for real people market, the price of that cpu/unit is around 18-20$, of course the labour and other production cost….. isn’t a justification.

Keep in mind that other mini pc that could run windows 10, linux and android are already developped and on market with same spec on other SoC for half of the price

Also it’s a fact that cnx annonced launch price are always lowest than the real cost 🙂 at least it’s a fact with all mini tv sticks and mini pc and tv box on all Soc 🙂 so expect 500$US to grab one at launch and 480$US in the next year 🙂

BUT thanks to cnx reviews, it’s the place there to be for geeks like us who love the news on major coming up toys floating around

For this one no more than 300$US, never

  2. “TinyGreenPC for 330 GBP” PLUS shipping PLUS 20% VAT on all of that which means the real price is almost GBP 400.

The prices at TinyGreenPC are deceptive — do not get ripped off.

  3. The nice thing about the fitlets is the option for up to 4 nic’s (intel nic’s)
I wish intel would do a nuc with 2 or more nic’s.

Also the dual hdmi models are a lot more capable for digital signage than any of the cisco dmps (even the newer edge 340) but if you need telecom certified hardware you’re stuck with crappy low performance cisco gear

If you are going to buy a fitlet, buy through amazon if you can.
But unfortunately nuc’s are cheaper and most easily beat the fitlets on cpu.
