The projector runs an English language version of MIUI TV based on Android 6.0, and ships with a Bluetooth remote control, a power cable, two adapters, a cleaning cloth, and a user manual in English.

It looks like the projector part is much the same as the old Xiaomi Mi Laser Projector for nearly the same price. So what’s new, english language by default, a more up to date SoC and I think the HDMI 2.0 inputs might be new?
all these laser tv projectors are expensive, right now. better to wait until prices goes down like 4k projectors. im still happy with my 720p projector.
They’re certainly expensive but they’re worth it. I can find the first generation of this laser projector online for £1500. I could alternatively buy an ultra short throw lamp based projector like the optoma GT5000+ for £1100, not all that much less. Then you factor in lamp life, apparently each lamp on bright mode will last 3000 hours so I’d need 7 bulbs to beat the laser projector’s lifespan. One bulb comes with the product so I need to buy 6 bulbs at £150 each. Yeah that’s right, £900 on bulbs alone! Crazy!
