The laptop/tablet is designed for kids, so while it’s technically a DIY laptop like Olimex TERES-I, the assembly is much easier, as users simply need to insert the battery and the speaker before covering the back of the display with an acrylic cover.

Kano PC is available now for $299 from Kano store, Microsoft, and Best Buy.

  1. Or, you can get used i5 thinkpad x230 or latitude e6230 for around $160 ~ $170 that, of course, superior than this (minus touchscreen and used battery).

    1. But this tablet isnt in the same market as a used thinkpad. This one is designed to teach kids on how to use PCs.

  2. I still have my acer switch from 2015 with Intel Core M 5Y10c CPU, 11.6″ 1080p touchscreen, detachable keyboard, 4Gb Ram and 128Gb SSD from which I only paid $199 on sale.Best of all, you can install linux ubuntu on it.
