The company officially supports Windows 10 operating system, and Linux is only available on request, meaning you’d have to pay extra to make them make it working on the board. The MiTAC PD10EHI thin mini-ITX motherboard ships with a SATA cable, SATA power cable, two I/O brackets (Half and Full Height), and a Quick Installation Guide.

Compared to an Intel Apollo Lake J4205 processor, the Pentium N6415 Elkhart Lake processor is said to deliver 70% performance in single-thread performance, and twice the GPU performance using 3Dmark 11 benchmark. Note it’s at least the second Elkhart Lake (thin) mini-ITX motherboard we’ve covered, as we previously wrote about Advantech AIMB-218 in February 2021 with a similar set of features.

MiTAC PH11CMI & PH12CMI Comet Lake motherboards

Software support is the same with Windows 10 64-bit by default, and Linux by request. The motherboard ships with two I/O brackets (Half and Full Height), SATA data and power cables, and a Quick Installation Guide.

The features between MiTAC PD10EHI Elkhart Lake thin mini-ITX motherboard and the Comet Lake models are very similar, so it should be possible to create the same product accepting either depending on customers’ requirements. Those are often integrated into displays as the thin mini-ITX form factor mandated a 2.5cm thickness limit.

As is often the case for industrial/embedded motherboards, MiTAC did not provide pricing. You’ll find additional information on MiTAC website for the three new boards, as well as previous thin mini-ITX motherboards.

  1. Is there some similar mini ITX Board available from a consumer brand, also with DC in, M2 SSD, M2 WiFi and if possible also mini pie and dual GbE?

Just looking for something that is simple and affordable besides the I/O
It can be Intel/AMD or Arm, as long as it most likely runs mainline Linux
