UGOOS UT8 PRO is the first TV box I’ve seen with a Rockchip RK3568 processor, if we exclude Firefly Station P2 that’s more like an Arm Linux mini PC. The device runs Android 11 and is equipped with 8GB RAM, 64GB eMMC flash, and offers WiFi 6 connectivity. There’s also the “UGOOS UT8” with basically the same features except it ships with 4GB RAM and 32GB flash, and a dual-band WiFi 5 and Bluetooth module.
We previously had seen TV boxes and mini PCs with the similar Rockchip RK3566 SoC in T95 Plus, H96 Max, and Zidoo M6, and the only reason for going with RK3568 in UGOOS UT8 (PRO) should be the extra USB 3.0 host/OTG interface, adding to the USB 3.0 host interface found in both RK3566 and RK3568 processors.

The TV box ships with a 5V/3A power adapter, a Bluetooth remote control, an HDMI cable, and two antennas for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The PRO model comes with a blue enclosure, while the model with 4GB RAM is offered in a black enclosure. An optional G10S/G20S air mouse with 2.4 GHz RF and Bluetooth 5.0 can also be added. The Android 11 operating system in the devices comes with Ugoos settings with support for SAMBA server, automatic framerate (AFR) switching, OTA firmware update, and so on.

Were you drunk when your wrote this? The title says its a rk3358, the SoC specs say its a rk3566 and when you go to geekbuying it says it’s an rk3568, then you are using all of them very confusingly in this post as well. So what is this thing actually?!
There are probably nicer ways to report typos/thinkos and copy-past issues that are inevitable when device names only change by one digit…
I agree with you Willy but why do you behave in the same way that the comment that TheLinuxBug wrote? Do you understand that you could just be making it worse?
Three typos that are important is a big deal imo. Asking a question is that wrong? No questions are bad imo, it is up to the moderator to decide what’s acceptable.
I’m not saying it’s great to have typos, and they’ve been fixed. I’m just saying that sending “there’s a typo there” is generally more polite than “were you drunk?”. In general it’s best not to pollute the comments with typo-related stuff that will be corrected when others read them. When I do it I take care of dedicating the message to that and add a note to Jean-Luc saying that he can delete the message once done. This gets things quickly fixed without unpleasant or confusing comments.
Saying “there’s a better way to do that” isn’t the same as asking if someone is drunk IMHO. It’s a rather respectful way of commenting that someone was unreasonable.

Just run Linux on it and you have fully functional PC,
smaller and cheaper (then anything Intel/AMD/Nvidia/Qualcomm/).

Did I miss something? RK356x is fully supported by off-the-shelf Linux distros? Full GPU acceleration included? Flash an USB stick, boot, install, done?

Don’t you think you get somewhere an Intel Apollo Lake thingy (faster than RK356x) that matches at least the price range (for me in EU 160-180€ VAT included)?
Usually, tv box get somewhat decent armbian ~2 year after release (sans gpu driver). And for that price, I’m in line with @tkaiser. Just get similar performance apollo lake. Or used i3 gen 6/7 mini pc.
Or would you at this price, as mentioned above go Intel J4125 ?
