ECS LIVA Q3H mini PC targets video conferencing with HDMI output and input ports

ECS LIVA Q3H is a pocket-sized mini PC with a Jasper Lake mini PC and the company says it is especially suited to video conferencing applications thanks to HDMI output and input ports enabling users to connect it with a guest PC and easily add it to a meeting.

Video conferencing mini PCThe mini PC ships with a power adapter, VESA bracket supporting both 75 and 100mm VESA mounts, and a Quick Guide. ECS recommends Windows 11 64-bit and says it does not provide technical support for the installation of other operating systems. In other words, you may give Linux a try, but if it does not work properly, you are on your own.

Here’s how ECS envisions using the LIVA Q3H mini PC (PC1) for video conferencing. PC1 is connected to a monitor or projector via the HDMI output port, and PC2 laptop outputs its content through PC1’s HDMI input, while PC3 laptop relies on wireless streaming, so in this set up three speakers can be seen. The power button can also be used to easily switch between PC1 and PC2 presentations.

ECS LIVA Q3H video conferencing installation

I’m not sure what can not be done over the network or a mini PC connected to two displays in the same way, but maybe I’m missing some of the advantages of using HDMI input for video conferencing.

It’s unclear whether the LIVA Q3H mini PC is up for sale at this time. Further details may be found on the product page, and ECS is currently showcasing it along with other products at the ISE 2023 conference in Barcelona until February 3.
