HIGOLE F9B Pro Intel N100 mini computer comes with a built-in 7-inch touchscreen display and 5,000 mAh battery

HIGOLE F9B Pro is a mini PC powered by an Intel Processor N100 quad-core CPU and equipped with a built-in 7-inch touchscreen display, a 5,000mAh battery, and full-size ports that could be confused with a 7-inch tablet if it was not so thick…

GOLE/HIGOLE has made many such mini PCs with integrated displays over the years initially to lower the Windows license fee, but they’ve kept making those with new Intel families, for example with the Gemini Lake-powered GOLE1 Pro mini PC with a 5.5-inch display introduced in 2022. The HIGOLE F9B Pro is just the latest iteration with a modern Alder Lake-N CPU and a 7-inch touchscreen display.

Intel N100 HIGOLE F9B mini PC ports

The mini PC ships with a 12V/3A power adapter and a user manual, and comes preloaded with Windows 11 Pro, but the company claims Ubuntu Linux is also supported.

It’s not the only Intel N100 mini PC with a built-in 7-inch touchscreen display as AndroidPC.es wrote about the SZBOX S7 and Liliputing noted the HIGOLE F9B Pro had almost the same design, but the SZBOX-S7 comes with a larger 7,200 mAh battery, an Intel AX201 WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 module, and only gigabit Ethernet, and

Three versions of the HIGOLE F9B (Pro) are available on Aliexpress

The latter is quite similar to the MeLE Quieter4C ultrathin fanless Intel N100 mini PC, albeit with different port options. The SZBOX S7 model sells for $250 and up depending on storage capacity.

Note that there may be quality and reliability concerns with HIGOLE hardware. I reviewed several of their mini PCs in the past, and the original GOLE1 had a long list of CONS, and it died after the battery was fully discharged and could not be recharged. Then I had a reliability issue with another model when using an HDMI to VGA adapter that made the mini PC frequency reboot, and it died a few months after I sold it…

Cute, but high price for an N100 box, suspicious reliability. Good to see Gemini Lake in the rear view mirror though.

If you set it up right, I could see it being useful. Little displays for showing system usage stats are popping up in premium products. This is larger, with a touchscreen, and could be used like a Stream Deck, Echo Show, or any number of similar things. It has a speaker too. One problem is that you need to place and orient it in a way that manages the cables but allows you to see/use the display. The other problem is the price. It’s $100-150 more than cheaper N100 boxes to get the display. I don’t care about the battery… Read more »
