Seeed Studio has recently launched a 2-channel Wi-Fi AC relay built around the XIAO ESP32C3 WiFI and Bluetooth module. The device is a simple WiFi relay module that can control two independent 100-240V AC appliances and is designed to be compatible with both Home Assistant with ESPHome firmware flashed by default.
The device also features a built-in BL0942 power meter with a maximum load capacity of 2400W at 240V for real-time and historical energy consumption monitoring. These features make this device suitable for applications such as energy tracking and remote control of appliances.
Seeed Studio 2-channel Wi-Fi AC relay specifications:
- MCU – XIAO ESP32-C3 with ESP32-C3 WiFi 4 and Bluetooth 5.x RISC-V microcontroller, USB-C port (unused here)
- Wireless connectivity – 2.4GHz Wi-Fi
- Relay channels – 2 independent channels
- Power
- Input terminals – Neutral (N), Live (L)
- Input voltage – 100-240V AC, 50/60Hz
- Output terminals
- Channel 1: N1 (Neutral), L1 (Live)
- Channel 2: N2 (Neutral), L2 (Live)
- Output voltage – 100-240V AC, 50/60Hz
- Maximum load – 10A per channel, 2400W
- Energy metering – BL0942 calibration-free IC
- Active energy measurement error – 0.1%
- Dynamic range – 4000:1
- Power monitoring – Real-time and historical energy tracking via Home Assistant
- Dimensions – 70 x 58 x 38 mm
As mentioned earlier the module ships with ESPHome firmware meaning Home Assistant is supported natively for local control. Additionally, the company provides open-source 3D-printed enclosure designs available on Thingiverse. More information about the product can be found on the wiki.
This is the first time we have seen Seeed Studio design such a device. However, we have previously seen many similar devices from Sonoff, such as the SONOFF MINIR4M, the SONOFF MINIR4, and the SONOFF MINI Extreme, but they lack energy monitoring function due to their small form factor suitable for gang installation. Seeed Studio’s Wi-Fi AC relay module can control two AC appliances and integrates a power meter, but may not easily fit into a wall without some extra handiwork…
The ESP32-C3 powered 2-channel Wi-Fi AC relay is priced at $19.90 and is currently available on backorder. It will be available from the China warehouse starting January 1, 2025. For further details and ordering information, you can check out the Seeed Studio’s store. You can also expect a review on CNX Software sometime next month, as Paisit will receive samples in a few days and test them with his Home Assistant installation.

Worth noting: ESP32-C3 is a cost-effective RISC-V SoC.
Always nice to see more RISCV
I assume you can just flash this with own firmware?
This is basically the same as Shelly 2PM, although that one also supports two inputs, which allows easy combination with existing switches (allowing manual and virtual control).
When you have a chance to review this can you look at how Live and Neutral are handled by the relay. Currently, the information provided on their website does not state if Neutral goes via a relay or is just a direct connection to the input.
This device has no certifications. You should not (in this case permanently) connect high voltage devices no appropriate CE/UL certifications.
