MayQueen Technologies PANZER-LITE93 is an NXP i.MX 93-powered box PC running a customized Ubuntu 24.04 LTS distribution with LXQt desktop environment and NPU libraries to leverage the built-in Arm Ethos-U65 micro NPU.
The board itself is not actually anything new, and the company has been quite transparent about it, telling us by email that we’d “immediately recognize that it’s based on the FRDM-IMX93” development board. What they bring here is a 3D printed case, software support which we’ve been told is different than official NXP support, and we’ve been told the main goal was to create a lightweight box PC.

Besides the Ubuntu 24.04 image, MayQueen Technologies is working towards EU CRA compliance and plans to offer long-term hardware/software maintenance with both Ubuntu and Yocto. The Ubuntu 24.04 OS image and installation instructions are already available on GitHub, and the company intends to release the source code gradually. A Ubuntu BSP will also be released later, as we’re told that “organizing and releasing the full source code will take some time”.
The PANZER-LITE93 will be offered in orange, black, brown, red, yellow, green, blue, and white, and wood grain finishes and metallic textures might also become available. What we won’t get on GitHub are the 3D files for the enclosure, as they want to sell a complete product.
NXP FRDM-IMX93 development board sells for $80, but the PANZER-LITE93 box PC goes for $214 in “a variety of configurations”. I’m not sure what the latter means unless it’s about the color of the enclosure. That also means you’d pay about $134 for a 3D printed case and long-term software support… There’s no product page yet, and all information is listed on GitHub, but we’re told samples can be purchased by contacting sales through the MayQueen website (1998-style website if you feel nostalgic).
