Makerfabs Maduino Zero Wi-Fi HaLow is an Arduino Zero-compatible Wi-Fi HaLow (802.11ah) development board designed for low-power, long-range wireless communication in smart agriculture, industrial automation, and remote monitoring applications.
The board is built around the Microchip ATSAMD21G18 Cortex-M0+ MCU to manage I/O, system control, and interface with the TXW83xx-based WiFi HaLow module. It operates in the 730–950 MHz sub-GHz band, features a microSD card slot for storage, and two GPIO headers. The board gets power through a USB Type-C port or a 3.7V LiPo battery (chargeable via USB) and includes an external antenna for long-range connectivity.

The module supports both Access Point (AP) and Station (STA) modes, and can be programmed with the Arduino IDE. It also supports AT commands for quick configuration and testing. The company also provides example codes for transmitting temperature and humidity (T&H) data using a DHT11 sensor. More information about the products, including setup instructions and example code, can be found on the Wiki. The hardware schematics and datasheets are available on GitHub.
The Maduino Zero Wi-Fi HaLow adds to the list of 802.11ah boards, such as the AsiaRF AWH575-MF1, LILYGO T-Halow, or STM32-based MM6108-EKH05 evaluation kit. This type of board often comes with a camera interface since it’s one of the key applications for WiFi HaLow, but it’s not present on the Makerfabs board.

The Maduino Zero Wi-Fi HaLow is priced at $19.80 on the Makerfabs store. The package includes the Maduino Zero Wi-Fi HaLow board and a matching external antenna for long-range 802.11ah connectivity.
