The remote includes a 9V battery, a high-gain antenna, and multi-color LED indicators for signal confirmation, fault detection, and low battery alerts. The solution relies on LoRa in the 410–493MHz frequency band and offers a range of up to 3.5km in open environments. Protection features include zero-crossing detection, power isolation, and flame-retardant housing. The PCB features a tri-proof coating for protection against humidity, mold, and salt spray. The remote can be paired with multiple relay modules, meaning a single button press can control several devices at once. However, the company does not clarify how real-time feedback is handled when multiple modules are triggered simultaneously, and one can only assume the relays send a message back to confirm the status change. Pairing is done by holding the button on the relay for 3 seconds, while a 10-second press resets the pairing. Other than that, I was unable to find much information about the device.
We have seen various types of relay boards in the past, such as the XIAO 6-Channel Wi-Fi 5V DC Relay and the Maker Go ESP32-C6-EVB relying on WiFi/BLE/Zigbee, but it’s the first time we’ve come across a LoRa AC switch for industrial applications. It’s just a shame that 868 MHz/915 MHz versions are not available.
