There’s not that much information about software support, but we’re told the EdgeLogix 1145 optionally supports third-party software such as Codesys and SCADA-compatible programs. OpenEmbed also mentions machine control with PLCopen Motion function blocks and standard modules.
Target applications include IoT gateways, 4G/LTE routers, edge computing controllers, software-defined PLCs, industry control systems, and building automation.

The entry-level model is the EdgeLogix1145-A-1G8G PLC with a Raspberry Pi CM 5 with 1GB RAM, 8GB eMMC flash, and no wireless module, but the company did not provide pricing for that one. The EdgeLogix1145-A-2G16G (2GB RAM, 16GB eMMC flash, no wireless) sells for $249, and the EdgeLogix1145-A-4G32G-WIFI (4GB RAM, 32GB eMMC flash, WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 module) goes for $299 for 100-unit orders. The sample price is 20% higher, and volume pricing is a bit lower. The best way to purchase a sample is probably through Alibaba. It’s also available on AliExpress from various sellers, but with a steep markup. Additional information may also be found on the product page.
