Maxtang SXC-ALN30 is a fanless, embedded mini PC powered by an Intel Processor N97 or Core i3-N305 Alder Lake-N processor and exposes a GPIO header and two RS232/RS485 COM ports for business applications requiring a scanner, a PoS (Point-of-Sale), a cash register, or even medical equipment.
The mini PC supports single-channel DDR4 SO-DIMM memory and M.2 NVMe or SATA storage. It offers three HDMI 2.0 video outputs suitable for digital signage, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, six USB ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a 4-pin connector to connect an external power button.

Maxtang says the SXC-ALN30 embedded mini PC supports Windows 10/11 64-bit and 64-bit Linux distributions. The closest competitor I can find is the UP Squared Pro 710H Edge mini PC with the same N97/Core i3-N305 options, a 40-pin GPIO header, and two RS232/RS422/RS485 COM ports. The AAEON model is quite thicker than the Maxtang one, but not quite as wide.
The Maxtang SXC-ALN30 fanless mini PC is listed on Amazon for $179 and up. The lowest price is for the N97 barebone version, and you can get a Core i3-N305 mini PC with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD preloaded with Windows 11 for $399. Note there’s no “Buy” button on Amazon for me.
