Waveshare’s CM5-DUAL-ETH-BASE is a carrier board for the Raspberry Pi CM5, featuring dual Ethernet (1GbE + 2.5GbE), two 4K HDMI outputs, two MIPI CSI/DSI interfaces, and more. It supports NVMe SSDs or AI accelerators via an M.2 slot, offers USB 3.2/2.0 ports, a 40-pin GPIO header, and a wide 7V–36V DC input, making it ideal for industrial networking and edge computing applications.
In the past, we have seen other carrier boards such as Seeed Studio’s CM5 MINIMA, Waveshare’s CM5-NANO-B, and CM5-PoE-BASE-A, among others. However, this is the only carrier board that features dual Ethernet with a 2.5GbE option and a wide input voltage range.

The company does not specifically mention anything about software support, but it should work with the official Raspberry Pi OS and other operating systems supported by the Raspberry Pi CM5. Similar to the CM5-NANO-B board, it has dual multiplexed MIPI CSI or DSI ports and supports cameras including OV9281, IMX290, IMX327, IMX378, IMX219, IMX477, and IMX708. I have to assume that you can run one DSI display and one CSI camera connection simultaneously, like the NANO-B board, because at the time of writing, Waveshare’s wiki is empty and under construction.
