Orange Pi AI Studio is a USB4 box designed for artificial intelligence applications, equipped with up to two Huawei Ascend 310 AI octa-core ARM 64-bit processors, delivering up to 176 TOPS per chip, as well as up to 192GB RAM. This follows the Orange Pi AIPro introduced last year, with an unnamed Huawei Ascend SoC delivering up to 20 TOPS NPU.
The basic version of AI Studio has up to 96GB of LPDDR4X memory and 32MB of SPI Flash. The interface of the device is very simple, featuring a 12V 10A DC power interface, a USB 4.0 Type-C port, a power switch, and an indicator light. The only disadvantage is the limited number of ports provided, even do not include an HDMI port or an Ethernet port.

The AI Studio Pro model essentially combines two AI Studios into one device, theoretically allowing for infinite stacking to form a small group. The AI Studio Pro features 16 CPU cores and 16 AI cores, doubling the core count, thus doubling the computing power to 352 TOPS. The memory is also doubled, with options for 96GB and 192GB. The power supply requires a 240W(12V 20A) power source, with power consumption nearly matching that of a desktop computer.
In terms of computing power, there is no description regarding the precision of 176 TOPS or 352 TOPS, which might be INT8, but it is unlikely to be FP4. Paired with the LPDDR4X at only 4266 Mbps, it may not be ideal to train DeepSeek, GPT, or other AI models, and it might be better to use an Nvidia RTX 5090.
Orange Pi states that this development board supports hosts running Ubuntu and Linux operating systems, with future support for Windows and OpenEuler. It can be used for a range of applications, providing basic general computing power, super AI computing power, and codec capabilities. You’ll find more details on the product pages for the Pro and Basic models in Chinese.

The AI boxes are sold on JD.com. The AI Studio is priced at 6,808 RMB (955 USD) and 7,854 RMB (1,100 USD) with 48GB and 96GB RAM, respectively, while the AI Studio Pro goes for 13,606 RMB (1909 USD) and 15,698 RMB (2,200 USD) in 96GB and 192GB configurations. While the AI mini PC targets the Chinese market, the Orange Pi AI Studio Pro can also be found on AliExpress for about $2350/$2640 plus shipping (reseller account, not Shenzhen Xunlong Software/Orange Pi).
