GENE-ARH6 Hardware Overview

Previously, we have seen AAEON introducing the UP Xtreme ARL, a maker-friendly platform built around the same Intel Core Ultra SoCs. Designed for AI applications, robotics, and edge computing in a developer-oriented ecosystem. The new GENE-ARH6, on the other hand, features the same Core Ultra SoC but in a rugged industrial SBC form factor with wider power input (9~36V), extended storage expansion with RAID support, and various I/O for embedded and industrial automation.

The company mentions that the board supports Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit) operating systems, as well as Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS with Linux kernel 6.11.0-25-generic. AAEON also provides the datasheet, drivers, manuals, and BIOS for the board, all of which can be found in the download section of the product page.

The AAEON GENE-ARH6 3.5-inch industrial AI SBC is listed on the company’s eShop for $884.00 (Ultra 5) and $1,062 (Ultra 7) with limited stock (5 units at the time of writing). The standard package includes the mainboard only, while the CPU cooler and heatspreader are optional accessories that must be purchased separately. All related downloads, such as datasheet, BIOS, drivers, and manuals, are available on the product and press release pages.
