NestDisk – An Intel N150 NAS, mini PC, and AI Box with four M.2 PCIe slots

Youyeetoo NestDisk in an Intel N150 mini PC that can be used as a mini NAS or AI box, thanks to four M.2 PCIe slots that can be fitted with NVMe SSDs or AI accelerator cards and two 2.5GbE network ports.

The computer features 12GB LPDDR5 of memory, a 64GB eMMC flash, two HDMI 2.1 ports, a headphone jack, WiFi 6 connectivity, a full-function USB-C port, and three USB 3.2 ports. Intel N150 2.5GbE NAS Box ports descriptionThe NestDisk comes preloaded with OpenMediaVault (OMV), but the company also mentions fnOS (Chinese NAS OS) and Windows 11, Ubuntu, and other Linux operating systems in the wiki, Since it’s an x86 platform, most operating systems should work provided drivers are available. Since the Intel N150 processor has limited AI capabilities, you could make a multimedia NAS with three SSDs and an AI accelerator like the Hailo-8L for faster people recognition and image detection.

It’s far from the first Intel N150 NAS we’ve covered, and other examples include the TerraMaster F4-425 Plus, the Beelink ME Mini, and the CWWK X86-P6, but the NestDisk is one of the most compact, at least in terms of thickness.

Youyeetoo sells the Intel Processor N150-powered mini PC, NAS, and AI Box for $198.06 and up in dark blue or orange. Options for the NestDisk include a single 512 GB or 1TB NVMe SSD, as well as a single or dual-USB cooling fan. The latter is not needed for the Intel CPU, especially since there’s already a fan inside, but it appears to be used to cool the SSDs, AI accelerators, or other M.2 modules installed in the M.2 PCIe slots.

    1. Four cores @ 3.6 Ghz max for 6 Watt base: no problem at $200 & Windows capable.

Not for NASA / AI / compiling the next Linux release.
