Radxa C200 Orin Developer Kit – An NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 8GB devkit with three M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots

The Radxa C200 is a compact developer kit built around the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 8GB module. It features three PCIe 4.0 NVMe slots and 117 TOPS AI “Super Mode” for high-speed storage expansion, fast-bootable SSDs, and data-intensive AI workloads.

It supports 8GB LPDDR5 memory, two M.2 M-Key slots (PCIe 4.0 x2/x4) for NVMe storage or other expansion, and an M.2 E-key (PCIe 4.0 x1) slot for Wi-Fi/BT or other compatible modules. Ports include DisplayPort 1.2 video output, four USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, a USB Type-C port with recovery mode, Gigabit Ethernet, two MIPI CSI interfaces, and a 40-pin GPIO header. Additional features include CAN bus, PoE headers, RTC battery, and a PWM fan connector, extending system integration options.

On the specifications page, Radxa only lists support for the Orin NX 8GB module, but a comparison table (provided by Radxa, attached below) shows compatibility with both the Orin NX and Orin Nano modules.

GPU Frequency and AI Compute Scaling
Super Mode increases the GPU clock from 765 MHz to 1173 MHz (+34.7%), raising AI performance from 70 TOPS to 117 TOPS (+67.1%).
Orin Module Compatibility & Performance
The C200 supports multiple Jetson Orin modules, delivering up to 157 TOPS with the Orin NX 16GB and 117 TOPS by default with the Orin NX 8GB.

The Radxa C200 Orin Developer Kit supports NVIDIA JetPack 6.2 and 6.0 on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, with JetPack 5.x available for Ubuntu 20.04. Radxa provides pre-built JetPack images with board-specific kernel patches, NVMe/USB boot support, PCIe 4.0 x4 enablement, RTL8125 2.5GbE drivers, device-tree overlays, along with a getting-started guide in their documentation center.

The radxa/c200-bootupd repository provides Radxa’s custom EDK2 firmware and tooling required to boot official NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano SD-card images on the Radxa C200 and Airbox Orin platforms, which lack the module’s native microSD interface. It includes pre-compiled UEFI binaries, scripts for flashing via NVIDIA’s flash.sh, and build files for generating the firmware from source. The firmware patches the kernel command line to correct the hardcoded SD card rootfs path, adds support for NVMe and USB boot, and integrates board-specific updates such as GPIO-controlled LEDs, audio enable pins, and revised pinmux configurations. The repository also offers complete SPI-flash update options and device-tree/BCT modifications required for proper hardware bring-up across Radxa’s Orin-based products.

The Radxa C200 Orin has an M.2 E-Key slot that should support modules like the Intel AX210 and Radxa’s own A8 (RTL8852BE), as they support PCIe/USB interfaces and are compatible with Radxa’s previous boards (e.g., NX5, ROCK 5, CM5). However, as of now, Radxa hasn’t released an official compatibility list or test report specifically for the C200, so full plug-and-play might require minor JetPack tweaks or community patches, as seen on NVIDIA forums for Orin hardware.
