Elecrow AI Starter Kit for the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano turns the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano into a learning and educational kit for students, educators, and hardware enthusiasts looking for a rapid and powerful prototyping platform.
The kit integrates an 11.6-inch IPS touchscreen, an 8MP servo-controlled gimbal camera, a voice interaction module, and 30 common electronics modules embedded in the kit. The company also provides 39 Python tutorials for sensor control, computer vision, and basic AI workflows. In addition to the display, camera, and audio features, the kit also includes expansion through I2C, UART, and GPIO.

As the kit is based on the Jetson Orin Nano, it should support NVIDIA JetPack, offering an Ubuntu-based Linux environment with CUDA, cuDNN, TensorRT, and Python libraries for AI and computer vision development. Elecrow mentions that documentation and 38 guided Python tutorials are provided through its learning resources and wiki, but at the time of writing, I could not find a relevant link on the product page. That only means that it will be available after the shipping starts.
Elecrow has released several laptop-style educational kits over the years; the most popular is the Raspberry Pi–based CrowPi series, which includes the CrowPi 3, CrowPi2, CrowPi L, and the original CrowPi Portable Learning Kit. Just last week, we also covered Elecrow’s new all-in-One Starter Kit for ESP32-P4, which could very well be the beginning of a new all-in-one kit lineup based on the ESP32. NVIDIA Jetson-based learning kits are a rarity, usually educational robots, and it’s the first time we’ve seen a full Jetson Orin Nano educational kit.
The NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano-based AI Starter Kit is available on the Elecrow store for $189.00 (without the Orin Nano module) plus shipping. The device ships with a complete set of accessories, including the AI Starter Kit enclosure with integrated sensor board, four Jetson Orin Nano acrylic mounting plates, a 40-pin GPIO cable, a Jetson DP & USB adapter board, two 22-pin FPC cables, an IR remote control, and an NFC card. Orders are expected to ship after January 15th. The kit might eventually show up on the company’s AliExpress and Amazon stores, probably sometime in January.
