AAEON UP Xtreme PTL Edge is an upcoming Panther Lake AI Mini PC powered by either an Intel Core Ultra 5 338H or Core Ultra X7 358H with up to 180 TOPS of AI performance, and offering industrial features such as a 40-pin GPIO header, two RS-232/422/485 COM ports, and a wide 19 to 36V DC input range.
Other highlights include support for up to 128GB DDR5 SO-DIMM memory, up to four 8K displays through two HDMI 2.1 ports and two DisplayPort 2.1 video outputs, two USB4 Type-C ports, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, dual 2.5GbE, optional WiFi and Bluetooth, and more.

AAEON will provide support for Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC and Ubuntu 24.04 LTS operating systems. Compared to earlier UP Mini PCs like the UP Xtreme i14 Edge, the Panther Lake AI mini PC provides a more powerful SoC, two USB4 ports (instead of one or none), two 2.5GbE ports, and a 40-pin GPIO header rather than a 16-pin terminal block with fewer I/Os.
Other industrial-focused hardware based on the Intel Core Ultra Series 3 “Panther” Lake processor family includes the Vecow TGS-2000 stackable embedded PCs and the SECO SOM-COMe-BT6-PTL COM Express Type 6 Basic module. We just expected many more announcements once products start shipping.
The UP Xtreme PTL Edge mini PC will become available later in Q1 2026. More details can be found on the product page on the AAEON website, where you’ll currently find a datasheet, but once we’re closer to release, expect the Windows and Linux drivers, the BIOS/firmware, and a user manual there.
