Quectel FCM365X dual-band WiFi 6, BLE 5.4, 802.15.4 IoT module features NXP RW612 MCU, optional PSRAM

Quectel FCM365X is a short-range IoT module based on NXP RW612 wireless MCU with support for dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 5.4, and 802.15.4 (Zigbee and Thread) connectivity.

The compact 25.5 x 18.0mm RW612 module features 8MB flash and optional PSRAM, and operates in the -40 °C to +85 °C temperature range for demanding Smart Home and industrial IoT (IIoT) applications. The FCM365X module exposes GPIO, SDIO, UART, USB, JTAG, I2C, I2S, ADC, LCD, and PWM interfaces through its LCC+LGA package.

Quectel FCM365X

The product page mentions that the FCM365X supports QuecOpen (customer develops own firmware) and standard AT commands, but a forum thread from last year disputes that, and a Quectel employee indicates there’s no AT command set firmware for this module, and instead, customers are provided with an SDK for development, available on Gitlab (but likely private since I couldn’t find anything).

Two development boards are said to be available: the FCM365XABTB-0P-08 with a PCB antenna or a coaxial connector, and the FCM365XACTB-0P-08 with a PCB antenna, PSRAM, and an LFRC crystal for better accuracy and lower long-term power consumption. The company has yet to provide details like photos, detailed specifications, and pricing for the boards.

Quectel FCM365X IoT module

The Quectel FCM365X is the second NXP RW612 module we’ve covered, as back in 2024, Murata introduced the Type/2FR tri-radio IoT module in a smaller 12.0 x 11.0 x 1.5 mm BGA form factor. Other RW612 IoT modules include the u-blox IRIS-W10 series, Insight SiP ISP5261, CEL CMP4612, and others, most unveiled in 2023-2024.

While the FCM365X was discussed on forums in 2025, Quectel has only just announced the launch of the FCM356X module. It appears to be the only RW612-based option so far if you need PSRAM on the module, rather than on the mainboard. Additional information (mostly a product brief) may be found on the product page.
