Geniatech XPI-3576-CM5 is a Rockchip RK3576 octa-core Arm Cortex-A72/A53 system-on-module based on the Raspberry Pi CM4/CM5 form factor with up to 16GB LPDDR5 and 128GB eMMC flash.
The module also features a RealTek RTL8211F Gigabit Ethernet controller, an Ampak AP6275S wireless module for dual-band WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and a Rockchip RK806S-5 PMIC for power management. It features two 100-pin B2B connectors, allowing it to be plugged into carrier boards designed for the Raspberry Pi CM4/CM5, with some limitations as we’ll see further below.

Geniatech provides support for Android 14 and Debian 12 operating systems, as well as an “adapted version” of Raspberry Pi OS, which I assume must be using the Raspberry Pi OS rootfs, plus Linux kernel and u-boot images for the RK3576. The company provides a hardware design guide, a pinout mapping table, a Linux/Android BSP, flashing tools, a debugging manual, and official technical forum and email support to customers (nothing is publicly available).
It’s the third Rockchip RK3576 with Raspberry Pi CM4/CM5 form factor we’ve covered here on CNX Software, and the previous two were the Banana Pi BPI-CM5 Pro/ArmSoM CM5 and Radxa CM4 with very similar features. The main advantages of the Rockchip RK3576 modules over the Broadcom BCM2712-based Raspberry Pi CM5 are the built-in 6 TOPS NPU in the SoC, LPDDR5 memory, and improved wireless connectivity through WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. In times of supply constraints and price increases, the Rockchip RK3576 Compute Modules can also be used as more affordable and easier-to-source alternatives. It’s mostly suitable for industrial control, edge AI gateways, smart displays, medical devices, in-vehicle terminals, and robotics applications.
While Geniatech claims the XPI-RK3576-CM5 SoM is “fully pin-compatible with the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5”, in practice, it’s not always the case, as it lacks features such as dual HDMI and dual MIPI CSI found on the CM5. It should still be a drop-in replacement or upgrade on most existing CM5 carrier boards without requiring hardware modifications. You’ll still need to work on the software, though.
Geniatech told us they had “recently launched the XPI-3576-CM5” AI compute module by email, so I assume it’s available now. However, the company has not provided price information since they primarily cater to B2B customers. More details may be found on the product page.
