Aetina introduces fanless NVIDIA Jetson Orin embedded box PCs with Ubuntu 20.04

Aetina has launched fanless edge AI embedded box PCs powered by NVIDIA Jetson Orin system-on-modules (SoM), namely the AIE-CN31/41, AIE-CO21/31, AIE-PN32/42, and AIE-PO22/32 models featuring the Orin NX or Orin Nano modules, and the AIE-PX11/12/21/22 and AIE-PX13/23 embedded systems fitted with the more powerful Jetson AGX Orin module. All new fanless Ubuntu 20.04 embedded computers are suitable for AI-powered applications and work in an operating temperature range of -25°C to +55°C. When I first read the email press release, I thought it was a refresh of an old PR since I had written about Aetina NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano and Orin NX edge embedded systems last January. Supermicro ARS-E103-JONX-H2 fanless Arm embedded system is powered by NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX

Supermicro is better known for its x86 servers, and they have already produced higher-end Arm-based servers like the Ampere-based MegaDC product line, but no compact Arm servers so far. The ARS-E103-JONX-H2 embedded system, featuring an 8-core Arm CPU, four gigabit Ethernet ports, and a 10GbE RJ45 port, is almost that, but not quite. Instead, it’s another NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX-powered fanless embedded PC for imaging, industrial automation, digital signage, retail, healthcare, and other Edge AI applications. Aetina unveils NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano and Orin NX edge embedded systems

Aetina has recently announced several embedded systems based on NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX and Orin Nano which they showcased at CES 2023. We’ll specifically have a look at the AIE-KO21/31 and AIE-KN31/41 edge devices designed for mainstream and entry-level edge AI computing. NVIDIA introduced the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX SO-DIMM modules in March 2022 and followed up with the lower-cost pin-compatible Jetson Orin Nano modules in September with mass production scheduled for Q4 2022 and Q1 2023 respectively. Last week, we covered the first NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX edge AI computer we had seen, namely Seeed Studio reComputer J4012, but it turns out Aetina also announced their own Jetson Orin NX/Orin Nano industrial embedded computers around the same time. NVIDIA launches smaller, mainstream Jetson T2000 and T3000 modules for Edge AI and robotics applications

NVIDIA has just launched the Jetson T2000 and T3000 “mainstream” modules as smaller and lower cost options to the Jetson T4000/T5000 modules introduced last year for Edge AI and robotics applications. The Jetson Thor T3000 and the industrial version IGX Thor T3000, which adds functional safety, both deliver up to 865 FP4 TFLOPS of AI compute. They feature a 1536-core NVIDIA Blackwell GPU, an eight-core Neoverse Arm CPU, 32GB of LPDDR5X memory with 273GB/s bandwidth, and 25 GbE connectivity. The Jetson Thor T2000 delivers up to 400 TFLOPS of AI performance, features a 1024-core Blackwell GPU, 16GB LPDDR5 with 137GB/s bandwidth, and 10 GbE networking. Both are about half the size of the Jetson T4000/T5000 modules. Better known for its unique Rockchip industrial PC designs, Mekotronics has now launched an “AI Box” based on the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano 4GB/8GB or Jetson Orin NX 8GB/16GB for humanoid robots, smart transportation (V2X) applications, Smart Cities, Smart Agriculture, medical imaging, and more.
