Geniatech Announces Dragon Board Industrial SBCs Powered by Amlogic Dual and Quad Core Processors

Not to be confused these DragonBoards, Geniatech has announced two industrial single board boards, namely Dragon Board I and Dragon Board II, respectively powered by Amlogic AML8726-MX dual core Cortex A9 SOC, and S801/S802/M805 quad core Cortex A9r4 SoC, and targeting applications such as digital signage player, and display applications for the hospitality industry. Snapdragon 600 based IFC6410 Development Board is Available for $75 For a Limited Time

Despite their popularity with tablets and smartphones, I don’t see much developer community around Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and only a few low cost development boards. One of them is Inforce Computing IF6410 pico-ITX board powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 (APQ8064) quad core processor with 2GB RAM, 4GB eMMC flash, Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, SATA,  micro HDMI and LVDS video outputs, etc.., that normally sells for just $149. But the company is having a promotion for $75 with the coupon code “makerfaire” until May 18, or until the 500 units they’ve reserved are sold out. Gumstix Announces Solution Kits for their CPU Modules and Boards

Gumstix has recently unveiled several solution kits featuring their Overo and DuoVero Computer-on-Modules (CoMs), Pepper single board computer, and several expansions boards, together with required accessories, and software packages, in order to help their customers getting started more easily. About two weeks ago, VIA announced the VAB-820, which according to the company, is the first ARM based quad core Pico-ITX single board computer (SBC) on the market. A claim that looks to be incorrect by the way. The board is powered by Freescale i.MX6Quad quad core ARM Cortex A9 processor, and comes with 1GB DDR3 SDRAM and 4GB eMMC Flash.
