Qotom Q20332G9-S10 is described as a fanless mini PC or somewhat more accurately as a router PC with four 10GbE SFP+ cages and five 2.5GbE RJ45 ports powered by an Intel Atom C3758R Denverton Refresh eight-core processor first introduced in 2020. I would rather call it a network appliance than anything with “PC” in its name since the system only comes with VGA video output (e.g. no HDMI or DisplayPort output), no audio support, and Denverton server processors lack an internal GPU. The Qocom device supports up to 64GB DDR4 memory, up to two 2.5 SATA drives, and two M.2 NVMe SSDs, and comes with one extra M.2 socket for cellular connectivity and a few USB ports. M.2 10GbE network card sells for $86

Almost two years ago, we wrote it was possible to add 10GbE to your system with a M.2 network card based on a Marvell AQC113 chip for about $170. But I’ve now been made aware prices may have come down a lot as another M.2 10GbE network based on the Marvell AQC107 chipset is now selling for $86 including shipping (to Thailand). Just like the previous model, the M.2 card does not include an RJ45 port, instead, it’s included in a separate board that’s mountable to a standard PC plate and connected through a flat cable to the M.2 module. COM-HPC 1.2 specification released with COM-HPC Mini 95x70mm form factor

PICMG has announced the release of the COM-HPC 1.2 specification adding the COM-HPC Mini form factor that’s about the size of a credit card (90x75mm) or half the size of the next-smallest COM-HPC form factor but still provides access to high-speed interfaces such as PCIe Gen5, USB4, and 10GbE. The COM-HPC “High-Performance Computing” form factor was introduced a few years ago for more powerful CPUs (higher TDP) with support for PCIe Gen4 (the COM Express form factor can’t handle PCIe Gen 4 clock speeds and throughputs well), and until now four sizes were available with COM-HPC Client Type modules measuring 95 x 120mm (Size A) to 160 x 120mm (Size C) and Server Type modules having either 160 x 160mm (Size D) or 200 x 160mm (Size E) dimensions.
