Boardcon MINI1126B-P is a system-on-module (SoM) powered by a Rockchip RV1126B-P 64-bit Arm SoC with a 3 TOPS NPU and a 4K H.264/H.265 encoder and decoder designed for AI vision applications. Rockchip RV1126 quad-core Arm Cortex-A7 camera SoC with a 2 TOPS AI accelerator has been around since 2021, but the RV1126B(-P) is a new chip with four Cortex-A53 cores and a 3 TOPS NPU. The MINI1126B-P SoM is one of the first hardware platforms with the new SoC, and an update to the company’s MINI1126 with the RV1126 SoC, so let’s have a closer look. Boardcon has recently introduced the Compact3576, a modular SBC with a Boardcon CM3576 SoM based on a Rockchip RK3576 octa-core Cortex-A72/A53 SoC with a 6 TOPS NPU for AI computing tasks, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 128GB eMMC flash storage. Key features include two HDMI video outputs, one HDMI input (HDMI to MIPI CSI), Gigabit Ethernet, a WiFi 5 & Bluetooth 5.0 module, three USB 3.0 ports, a microSD card slot, and M.2 and mPCIe sockets for storage and cellular expansion. Boardcon has just introduced the LGA3576 system-on-module with a 330-pad LGA design powered by Rockchip RK3576 AI SoC and the Idea3576 single board computer (SBC) based on the module. The 6TOPS AI-capable system-on-module ships with up to 8GB LPDDR5, integrates 32GB to 512GB UFS storage, while an RK806S-5 PMIC takes care of power management, and all I/Os such as HDMI, PCIe, Ethernet, and GPIO signals are exposed through LGA pads. Boardcon EM1103B is an AIoT SBC powered by a Rockchip RV1103B SoC designed for surveillance applications with dual camera, fingerprint, and a PIR sensor. This unique combination makes it suitable for vision-based applications such as smart cameras, doorbells, and battery-powered surveillance devices. The SBC consists of a compact core board that mounts to a large baseboard, which gives access to all the necessary I/O modules and also provides power. The SBC together features 100 Mbps Ethernet, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0 OTG, UART, GPIO, and interfaces for speakers, microphones, fingerprint sensors, and PIR motion sensors. We’ve very recently written about Geniatech XPI-3566 SBC powered by Rockchip RK3566 CPU that somewhat follows the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B form factor. Boardcon Compact3566 offers similar features, but it appears to keep exactly the same port assignment as the Raspberry Pi SBC, so it should be compatible with more accessories.
