About Us

CNX Software Limited is a news and information company managing the “CNX Software” blogs covering embedded systems, the maker community, popular development boards and SBCs such as Raspberry Pi, ESP8266, and Arduino, as well as more obscure hardware platforms, Linux, and open-source software and hardware as a whole.

Contributors – English version

Jean-Luc Aufranc (aka CNXSoft), Founder, and editor-in-chief – Jean-Luc started CNX Software in 2010 as a part-time endeavor, before quitting his job as a software engineering manager, and starting to write daily news, and reviews full time later in 2011. You can follow him on Twitter or LinkedIn.

Karl Johnson, Contributor – Karl is a technology enthusiast that contributes reviews of TV boxes, 3D printers, and other gadgets for makers. You can also find him on YouTube.

Ian W. Morrison (aka linuxium), Contributor – Ian is interested in mini PCs and helps with reviews of mini PCs running Windows, Ubuntu and other Linux operating systems. You can follow him on Facebook or Twitter.

Li Zexi, Contributor – Li Zexi became a part-time writer for CNX Software in 2022 and works as a software engineer in an embedded software company in China. He’s been passionate about embedded development and the Internet of Things for many years, with extensive industry experience, and a new and unique vision! You can find him on Zhihu.

Abhishek Jadhav, Contributor – Senior undergraduate Electronics and Telecommunication engineering student and technical author. As a RISC-V Ambassador, he represents them at a global level, being the first Indian and only student. He leads an Open Hardware Developer Community across India with more than 80 students. Abhishek is a 5G enthusiast and of its implementation in Smart Cities and AIoT.

Saumitra Jagdale, Contributor – Saumitra Jagdale is a Backend Developer, Freelance Technical Author, Global AI Ambassador (SwissCognitive), Open-source Contributor in Python projects,  Leader of Tensorflow Community India, and Passionate AI/ML Enthusiast.

, Contributor – A free wanderer who is highly interested in technology, especially those concerned with saving and solving human problems. He could be nerdy sometimes, in that state he is digesting topics related to deep learning, machine learning, natural language processing, the internet of things, smart cities, embedded systems, mobile robots, precision agriculture, and lastly machine vision. Stephen Vicinanza, Contributor – Stephen started writing about technology after publishing sci-fi short stories. His first White-Paper, written in 2008, was well received and inspired him to continue writing about technology. Today he writes in the technology space full time, covering a multitude of topics. During the time he wrote part-time he edited hundreds of titles for large publishers, in science and technology. He lives in Staten Island, with his wife and children. Suthinee Kerdkaew, Editor-in-chief – Suthinee has a keen interest in technology, especially Smart Home & IoT, and now works full time for CNX Software. You can find her on Twitter.

Ninephon Kongangkab, contributor –  Ninephon is a technology & innovation enthusiast, interested in all sorts of topics including automation, PLC, DCS, SCADA, robotic arms, sensors, IoT, LoRaWAN, Industry 4.0, Smart City, Smart Home, Smart Energy, Smart Environment, Smart Economy, Smart Precision Agriculture, Hi-Fi Audio/Visual, Home Cinema, and RC Drones (Radio Control)

Kajornsak Janjam, contributor –  A managing director of a robotics school in Chiang Mai, Kajornsak has also won several robot competitions such as Robocon and Makerthon.

Paisit Wongsongsarn, contributor – Computer engineer who has experience working with international IT companies in the field of infrastructure. He’s passionate about IoT technology, especially with regard to Smart Home or Smart Agriculture, and is also interested in innovations about sustainability such as renewable energy and organic food

Arnon Thongtem, contributor – Full-time Maker currently in charge of R&D and Innovation. His interests are Single Board Computers and IoT.

Contributors – Chinese version

Nicholas Dong, Author – Technical support engineer and senior engineer of RAK, has been deeply involved in embedded development technology and the Internet of Things industry for many years, and has a rich industry experience and original vision!

Wei Qiaoling, Author – Director of promotion and planning of CNX Chinese website, has 6 years of Internet product operation experience, focusing on open source hardware, AI, IoT, and other fields.

Jacob Li, Author – Embedded system test engineer, RAK senior engineer, many years of working experience in the Internet of things industry, familiar with all aspects of embedded development and testing, and has unique opinions on different products with accurate vision.

Taylor Lee Yuanchao, Author – RAK senior embedded development engineer, has rich experience in Internet of things and open source software and hardware, familiar with the industry mainstream software and hardware framework, has a keen perception of the industry development trend and capture ability.

Rita Wang, Translator – Rita has a solid foundation in writing, presents scientific and technical literature to readers in an easy-to-understand form, involved in open source hardware, AI, IoT, and other fields.

The Chinese website of CNX Software is made possible through a collaboration with RAKwireless handling the translation of articles, original articles in Chinese, the infrastructure, and social networks in China.
