Today Texas Instruments published a press release to announce partners 6 company had worked to design and manufactures systems-on-module based on the dual core Cortex A15 OMAP 5 SoC and that those would be on display at Electronica Trade Faire this week (13-16 October) in Munich. PHYTEC announced the phyCORE-AM335x System on Module (SOM) powered by Texas Instruments Sitara AM335x Cortex-A8 processor clocked at 720Mhz and PowerVR SGX530 GPU. This SoM targets industrial applications and supports standards such as EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, POWERLINK, SERCOS-III and CANopen. Phytec announced the first system on module based on Texas Instruments OMAP4430. The phyCORE-OMAP4430 features up to 1GB LPDDR2 DRAM, 1GB NAND Flash, one USB Host, one USB OTG port, Ethernet, I2C Interface, DSI and HDMI video output  and consumes a maximum of 3 Watts only.
