The CrowPanel Advance 7.0-inch ESP32-P4 HMI AI display is an ESP32-P4 HMI terminal that is similar to the GUITION 7-inch touchscreen display. $35 Orange Pi 4 Pro – An Allwinner A733 Edge AI SBC with up to 16GB LPDDR5, WiFi 6
Just last week, we wrote about the Orange Pi 6 Plus, a powerful CIX P1 SBC that features up to 64GB LPDDR5 memory. Now, the company has introduced the Orange Pi 4 Pro, an Allwinner A733-based low-cost, low-power SBC, which is very similar to the Radxa Cubie A7A in terms of architecture, AI capabilities, and use cases. It supports up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, eMMC modules (16–128 GB), NVMe SSD via an M.2 M-key PCIe 3.0 slot, and microSD storage. TechNexion unveils SO-DIMM and OSM system-on-modules based on Synaptics SL2610
Last week, we wrote about the Synaptics SL2610 Edge AI SoC family integrating Google’s open-source Coral NPU, and the first system-on-modules have already been announced, courtesy of TechNexion. The AIOM-SL2610 is a 260-pin SO-DIMM CPU module with a Realtek RTL8211F Gigabit Ethernet transceiver, a WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 6.0 module, and an on-module JTAG debug interface, while the OSM-SL260 is a smaller, lighter, solder-down module compliant with the OSM Size S specification. Olimex ESP32-C5-EVB – A dual-band WiFi 6 IoT board with relays, opto-isolated inputs, LiPo battery support
Olimex ESP32-C5-EVB is an evaluation board built around Espressif’s ESP32-C5-WROOM-N8R4 module with dual-band (2.4/5.0GHz) WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, and 802.15.4 (Zigbee/Thread/Matter) wireless connectivity, 8MB flash, and 4MB PSRAM. The board integrates two relays rated 250V/10A, two opto-isolated inputs, and a LiPo UPS charger and step-up converter. Other features include USB-C ports, a UEXT connector for expansion, and two buttons. It’s one of the first ESP32-C5 boards we’ve seen, after Espressif’s own ESP32-C5-DevKitC-1 development kit, and Wireless Tag’s WT99P4C5-S1 board using the ESP32-C5 as a wireless co-processor to the ESP32-P4 MCU. Beelink EQi13 Pro Review – Part 3: Ubuntu 24.04 on an Intel Core i5-13500H mini PC
We’ve already checked out the hardware of the Beelink EQi13 Pro in the first part of the review, and followed up with a detailed review of the Intel Core i5-13500H mini PC running Windows 11 Pro. We’ve now taken the time to test the Beelink EQi13 Pro with Ubuntu 24.04 to find out how well (or not) it performs on Linux. We will specifically report our experience testing features, running benchmarks, checking out the SSD and USB ports, evaluating Gigabit Ethernet and WiFi 6 networking performance, and finally stress testing the mini PC, before measuring the fan noise and power consumption of the mini PC under Linux.
