Ai Thinker enters the NB-IoT LPWAN market with EC-01 modules (Sponsored)

I have 2 questions,

  1. Is there a way to get a breakout board or development board for this module?
  2. What’s the compatible software or operating systems for this module?

In short, we would like to extend the support in zephyr RTOS and use the module in place of nrf91 or SIM07080G in our existing product. Thanks in advance.

There is a thing that I don’t understand about NB-IOT.
Does it require a special SIM? I’ve tried with all the major local carriers and none get signal.
I’m using a sim7020e that have the same footprint of the sim800. If I use the sim800 (on same PCB) I get the signal and I can send data/sms/calls. With the NBIOT I got aboslutly nothing.

is normal SIM card BUT with APN enabled for NB/CAT
operators do not want to pay for NB/CAT licenses and
therefore do not provide the service en masse

Hi dear, Yes it require a IoT SIM card but not actually the same as the SIM card use in the phone. Pls contact [email protected] to get more informations about this module.
