Alldocube Technology and Science will manufacture one of the first Android 4.0 tablet based on the new Rockchip RK3066 Dual Cortex A9 Processor: the Cube U30GT which will sell under 51cube.com brand.

Here are the specs of the device:

  • CPU – RK3066, Cortex-A9 Dual Core processor 1.6 GHz
  • GPU – Quad Core Mali 400 with OpenGL ES 2.0/1.1, OpenVG1.1
  • RAM – 1GB DDR3
  • Storage – 16 GB NAND FAST / microSD Card slot (Support up to 32G)
  • Display – 10.1″ capacitive touch screen (1280×800)
  • Camera:
    • 2.0 MPixel front camera
    • 2.0 MPixel rear camera
  • Sensors – 4-way G-sensor
  • Connectivity – Wi-Fi b/g, Bluetooth and 3G (via external 3G dongle).
  • Battery – Up to 4 hours movie playback,up to 12 hours music playback and up to 6 hours web page browsing.
  • Weight – 450 grams

The factory price is 128 USD (MOQ:1000). It is not yet available, but it can be pre-ordered on several websites such as AliExpress for 269.99 USD including (China Post) shipping.

    This Tablet looks awesome, only drawbacks is the low resolution screen.
    But CPU is lighting fast.

    It’s actually quite similar to Archos 101 G9 Turbo 16 GB with OMAP4 @ 1.5Ghz, except the Cube has a rear camera and Archos has GPS.

    Actually CPU looks faster newer and mali400mp has no competitor when compare to SGX540.
    So i think is abetter Tablet overall.
    Now we need to see a dedicated XDA thread, thing will not come easily :)

    IF dedicated thread comes to XDA i wont have any drawbacks to buy this. But in current state i will be stuck at ICS when jelly bean is around the corner ;)
    Chinese ppl must have an unofficial way to update our tablets even when manufacturer dont.
    Like on other more branded ones.Especially when the hardware deserves to be supported untill dies.
    I have a HTC g1 with ICS on it lol, this is what i mean!
