Celeron N5095 Jasper Lake mini PC

The mini PC comes pre-loaded with Windows 11 Pro, and ships with an HDMI cable, a power adapter, a wall-mount bracket, and a user manual. The Beelink MINI S has exactly the same specifications as the Beelink U59 that we reviewed with Windows 11 and Ubuntu 20.04. The review was positive except for the lack of microSD card slot, SATA only storage (e.g. no NVMe), and poor GPU performance than expected due to the drivers, but this may have improved since the time of testing (November 2021).

The Beelink MINI S is also cheaper than the Beelink U59 with the company selling the 8GB/128GB model for $229 and the 8GB/256GB variant for $249. It looks like the only differences are the SSD and memory capacities (8B + 128 or 256GB vs 8GB+256GB or 16GB+512GB) and the enclosure. The price difference for the 8GB + 256GB model is only $10. Additional information may be found on the product page.

It’s NOT cheaper:

  • Beelink U59 with 8GB/256GB for $239
  • Beelink Mini S with 8GB/256Gb for $249

It HAS 1 difference: no USB-C port on the front.

So +10$ = -1xUSB-C.

This is so confusing. Why design a whole new board just to drop 1 port … and raise the price, where everything else is 99.99% identical.

Don’t understand why, it’s the same.

U59 also has a dual nic and the S3 has single NIC. The U59 can work with proxmox and support firewalls due to the additional NIC.
