Samgle 3G 3310 vs Nokia 3310 (2G)

Samgle 3G 3310 is sold on GearBest in four different colors for $56.81 including shipping. You’ll also find Samgle MIX on that GearBest page, that looks quite similar to Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 in appearance only. While I’m writing about copypcats, last month Goophone Phone X (iPhone X clone) is now joined by Meiigoo S8 copying – you’ve guessed it – Samsung Galaxy S8 for just $169.99 shipped.

  1. Don’t want to get tacked/monitored? Better not turn your phone on. GSM networks track every phone attached to them for the simple purpose of being able to route calls to them. That’s unavoidable. Since they already have that data, the carriers can do other things with it as they see fit–they’re always looking for a source of income.

Yea, but if you turn your Android smartphone on, BOTH your carrier AND Google are tracking you! That’s why non-Android phones like this are becoming more popular. You can make calls, do SMS, and keep a contacts list all on a cheap device without Google snooping in on everything you do.

  3. Unless they are able to duplicate Nokia’s highly refined and proven Series 40 O.S. (highly unlikely), this FAKE 3310 phone, is WORTHLESS. I’ll wait for the 3G version of the new REAL Nokia 3310 to appear. But that may not happen any time soon. Nokia made an epic MISTAKE where I live (Indonesia) and flooded the market with the NON-3G version of the new 3310, which nobody wants. Here 2G has a limited life left and neighbouring countries are already turning it off. Nokia lives again today, but it looks like they are as self desructive as ever when it comes to managing their products.

If someone made a phone with security in mind that was like this, then I would agree with you. Because, if the arguement is “well, it’s slightly harder for more people to track you”, then that’s not really ‘sercurity’.
