We’ve seen a fair amount of Intel Elkhart Lake platforms including modules, 3.5-inch SBCs, Pico-ITX boards, and embedded mini PCs, but so far, I had not noticed any Elkhart Lake mini-ITX motherboard. Advantech AIMB-218 motherboard offers a choice of low-power Atom, Celeron and Pentium Elkhart Processor, and thanks to the larger form factor plenty of I/Os including four display interfaces (DP++/HDMI/eDP/LVDS) supporting up to three display, eight USB port, six serial COM port, and dual Gigabit Ethernet. Advantech AIMB-218 specifications: SoC (one or the other) – Intel Atom x6413E quad-core processor @ 1.50 GHz / 3.0 GHz (Turbo) with 16EU Intel UHD graphics; 9W TDP Intel Celeron N6211 dual-core processor @ 1.20 GHz / 3.0 GHz with 16EU Intel UHD graphics; 6.5W TDP Intel Celeron J6413 quad-core processor @ 1.80 GHz / 3.0 GHz with 16EU Intel UHD graphics; 10W TDP Intel Pentium J6426 (new part) quad-core 2.0 GHz / 3.0 GHz with 32EU Intel UHD Graphics; 10W TDP System […]
I’ve just written about the first Tiger Lake UP3 Pico-ITX motherboard I’ve seen with Commell LP-179 equipped with an Intel Core i7 or Celeron processor, but while doing research on the topic, AAEON PICO-TGU4 Pico-ITX SBC with “11th Generation Intel Core i7/i5/i3/Celeron U-Series Processor SoC” showed up. The company does not specify Tiger Lake processors, but the description fits, and AAEON mentioned PICO-TGU4 in an earlier press release about Elkhart Lake and Tiger Lake SBCs without any details. But we’ve now got some photos and key features & specifications for AAEON PICO-TGU4 SBC: SoC – 11th Generation Intel Core i7/i5/i3/Celeron Tiger Lake UP3 SoC up to 4.8 GHz System Memory – Up to 32GB LPDDR4x 4267 MHz on-board memory, In-Band ECC Storage – 1x SATA port Video Output HDMI 2.0b port up to 4Kx2K 60Hz 1x eDP up to HBR3, 8Kx4K 30Hz Audio – High Definition Audio Interface, Line-in/Line-out/MIC via header Networking 1x 2.5GbE RJ45 port via Intel i225 1x […]
Intel first introduced Core i3/i5/i7 Tiger Lake UP3 processors with Intel Xe graphics in early September 2020, soon followed with embedded versions of Tiger Lake UP3 a couple of weeks later, and then Celeron 6305E, still for embedded & IoT applications, with support for features such as 2.5GbE and quad-display support. We’ve already seen some Tiger Lake UP3 motherboards with AAEON UP Xtreme i11 (122 x 120 mm) and IEI tKINO-ULT6 mini-ITX SBC, but if you’d like a more compact Tiger Lake solution, Commell LP-179 Pico-ITX motherboard may be an option with a choice of Core i7-1185G7E or Celeron 6305E processor. Commell LP-179 specifications: SoC (one or the other) Intel Core i7-1185G7E quad-core/octa-thread Tiger Lake UP3 embedded processor @ 1.8 GHz / 4.4 GHz (Turbo) with 12MB cache, 96EU Intel Iris Xe graphics; 12 to 28W TDP Intel Celeron 6305E dual-core Tiger Lake UP3 embedded processor @ 1.8 GHz (No Turbo frequency) with 4MB cache, 48EU Intel UHD Graphics; 12 […]
Digital signage players were traditionally used to display photos and text, play some videos, or PowerPoint presentations. But like with so many other devices, they can also be enhanced with artificial intelligence with, for instance, facial recognition enabling more personalized information, weather detection showing targeted advertisement (umbrella when it rains, sunglasses on sunny days…), and other data collection. IEI IDS-310AI fanless AI digital signage system can enable these types of features thanks to an Intel Celeron J3455 Apollo Lake processor combined with two Myriad X VPU’s, and the ability to drive three displays through HDMI. IDS-310AI digital signage mini PC specifications: SoC – Intel Celeron J3455 quad-core processor @ 1.5GHz / 2.3GHz (Turbo); 10W TDP System Memory – 1 x 204-pin DDR3L SO-DIMM, 8 GB pre-installed Storage – 128GB SATADOM, MicroSD card slot Video Output – 3x HDMI 1.4b ports up to 3840×2160 @ 30Hz each Audio – 1x Mic in, 1x Line out Connectivity 2x Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 port […]
ECS started the LIVA Q product line of tiny mini PCs in 2017, and so far all were based on low power, affordable Intel processors including last year’s LIVA Q1L/Q1D mini PCs powered by Intel Celeron or Pentium Apollo Lake processors. But at CES 2021, ECS will showcase its first Arm-based LIVA mini PCs with LIVA Q1A and Q1A Plus respectively powered by Rockchip RK3288 quad-core Cortex-A17 SoC and RK3399 hexa-core Cortex-A72/A53 processor running Linux or Android. ECS LIVA Q1A / Q1A Plus specifications: SoC LIVA Q1A – Rockchip RK3288 quad-core Cortex-A17 processor @ up to 1.6 GHz with Mali-T764 GPU LIVA Q1A Plus – Rockchip RK3399 hexa-core processor with 2x Cortex-A72 cores @ up to 1.8 GHz, 4x Cortex-A53 cores. and a Mali-T860MP4 GPU System Memory – 2GB LPDDR3-1600 Storage – 32GB (default) or 64GB eMMC flash, 1x MicroSD slot Video and audio output Both models – 1x HDMI 2.0 up to 4Kp60 with CEC support (Please note RK3288 […]
