Samsung Exynos 1080 Octa-core Cortex-A78/A55 5G SoC includes Mali-G78 GPU

Arm Cortex-A78 CPU core and Mali-G78 GPU were announced in March 2020, and yesterday we covered the first Cortex-A78 processor with MediaTek MT8195 that should feature a Mali-G57 GPU. But today, Samsung has announced the first SoC to combine both Cortex-A78 cores with Mali-G78 GPU. Exynos 1080 octa-core processor also includes a 5G NR modem, supports for LPDDR5 memory, UFS 3.1 storage, and manufactured with a 5nm process. Tigard is an open-source FT2232H board for hardware hacking (Crowdfunding)

There is plenty of cheap 5V or 3.3V USB to TTL debug boards used to access the serial console and/or program boards, but FTDI FT2232H based Tigard open-source hardware board does much more than that as it supports multiple protocols, multiple voltages for hardware hacking & debugging. ASRock iBOX-V2000 mini PC integrates an AMD Ryzen Embedded V2000 SBC

AMD officially announced AMD Ryzen Embedded V2000 Zen2 processor family yesterday, with claims of twice the multi-threaded performance-per-watt, up to 30 percent better single-thread CPU performance, and up to 40 percent better graphics performance over Ryzen Embedded V1000 processors. Raspberry Pi 4 Vulkan Project Status & Future Plans – Q4 2020

Igalia has been developing a new open-source Mesa driver for the Raspberry Pi 4 since December 2019 and announced the implementation of the classical triangle Vulkan demo last February. Four months after the announcement of the Vulkan effort for Raspberry Pi 4 (v3dv), they merged with Mesa upstream. This means Raspberry Pi 4’s v3dv Vulkan driver has become part of the official Mesa drivers. Thus, bringing several advantages, like easy to find as it is now available on the official Mesa repository. Bugs can now be filed on the official Mesa repository bug tracker. In June, they passed over 70,000 tests from the Khronos Conformance Test Suite for Vulkan 1.0 and had an implementation of a significant subset of the Vulkan 1.0 API.
