GOsingGO GSG-TB06 Android TV Stick Features an Ethernet Port

There’s a plethora of Android HDMI TV dongles, but all of them only provide Wi-Fi connectivity, and if you need better network performance you need to add Ethernet via an USB to Ethernet dongle. There’s now another solution, that may not be very new, with GOsingGO GSG-TB06 a mini PC based on AllWinner A10 that includes an Ethernet Port.

Here are the specifications of the device:

  • SoC – Allwinners A10 @  1.0GHz
  • System Memory – 1GB RAM
  • Storage -4 to 32 GB flash + micro SD card slot
  • Video output – HDMI & AV
  • USB – 1x USB 2.0, 1x micro USB for power
  • Connectivity – Ethernet (RJ45) + Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (AR6103)
  • Dimensions – 105L x 37W x 15.6Hmm

The device comes with a USB power adapter, an RCA (AV) cable, and a user’s manual. The manufacturer says it’s running Android 4.1. The specs are not that great, but this is the only TV stick I’ve ever seen with Ethernet, and it should be able to run Linux too.

The only problem is that I could only find it on the manufacturer website, and it does not appear to be available for sale anywhere (yet).

Thanks to Anthony for the tips.

  1. I said to some factories: “you must place a LAN port” a least 1 year ago. No body did.

Now, when WiFi was improved they do… I think late.

  2. Unfortunately it is an A10S chipset so it didnt work with our software but it is certainly on the right track in terms of form factor (it looks reasonable in terms of build).

  3. Yeah, I have a few requirements for almost anything I would buy (exceptions would be “bed” table, and “Phone”).

    1. Bluetooth 4.0 (yes, I know it’s not supported very well, but I still want the LE and other newer features)

    2. On a device that would normally set in a fixed placed, Full Ethernet (not USB). I know this cost more in software and hardware, but I’ve never had good luck with WiFi. My current house has some kind of weird walls, that limit WiFi to almost single rooms!!! (and my rooms are tiny!)
