AAEON has just introduced upgrades to its Alder Lake-N-powered UP Squared 7100 and UP Squared Pro 7000 SBCs with the UP Squared TWL and UP Squared Pro TWL development boards equipped with Twin Lake CPUs, either Intel Core 3 Processor N355, Intel Processor N250, or Intel Processor N150.
Both SBCs can operate in the -20°C to 70°C temperature range, support up to three independent displays, and offer M.2 expansion sockets for storage and wireless, a 40-pin GPIO header, RS232/RS485 interfaces, and three USB ports. However, the UP Squared TWL is a smaller 90×85.6mm SBC with dual gigabit Ethernet, and the UP Squared Pro TWL has a slightly larger design (101.6×101.6mm) with dual 2.5GbE, a SATA port, MIPI CSI camera support, and optional cellular connectivity.

Windows 11 LTSC, Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04 with Linux kernel 6.11 or greater, and Yocto 5 or greater. Against, the specifications are exactly the same as for the UP Squared Pro 7000 except for the Twin Lake processors. Compared to the UP Squared TWL, the Pro version adds a SATA port, a MIPI CSI camera interface, 2.5GbE networking, and optional support for 4G LTE/5G connectivity.
Documentation and pricing
You’ll find links to the datasheet, user manual, BIOS, and drivers in the Downloads section of the respective product pages for the UP Squared TWL and UP Squared Pro TWL boards. More detailed instructions can be found on the wiki on GitHub, and the new Twin Lake boards share the same documentation as the earlier UP Squared boards based on Alder Lake-N or Amston Lake processors.
I could not find pricing information for either Twin Lake board, but UP community boards are usually sold on the UP shop, and for reference, the UP Squared 7100 starts at $219, and the UP Squared Pro 7000 at $249. I’d expect the new TWL boards to sell for a few dollars more in equivalent configurations.
