Rockchip RK3188 Based Giayee TVB103 Android TV STB Features VGA and HDMI Video Output

Although there are now many Rockchip RK3188 mini PCs, full sized quad core Android STB are not so common, especially with VGA output, and Giayee TVB103 is the only quad core media player providing both HDMI and VGA output that I know of.

The device runs Android 4.2, and comes with a power adapter, an HDMI Cable, a composite cable, and a VGA cable. Other features include Miracast and Android Remote App support, but those two are now pretty common to most RK3188 devices.

Availability and price are unknown. More information may eventually be available on Giayee TVB103 page.

  1. To cnxsoft : I read your website (Android part) everyday and very like your reviews of Android mini TV/PC. But one important moment not very clear in those reviews – which chipset provide better picture quality. Which one can be like, lets say, Realtek based mediaboxes ?

  2. @Vlad
I don’t really see differences in video quality. I would probably need 2 identical TVs to compare the video output side-by-side, and even then my opinion might be subjective. Normally you’d probably use a sample of people to test video quality, and get some statistical results.

If there’s a simple way to get evaluation picture quality, please let me know.

  3. @cnxsoft On my 46″ TV, i see difference in quality between inside TV decoder, DVD XVID decoding and my Bluetime MX5.
DVD XVID decoding is the best and my Sony’s decoding is worst…
