Spreadtrum is a Chinese SoC vendor known for its low cost smartphone SoCs, but they’ve recently announced a new SoC with four ARM Cortex A7 cores and a Mali-400MP(2/4) GPU together with WCDMA support for entry-level 3G tablets.
Spreadtrum SC5735 main features are listed below:

PadHZ reports SC5735 supports Android 4.4 KitKat, dual-band WCDMA/HSPA+ as well as quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, and that SC5735 is sampling now with volume production starting next month. The first tablets powered by Spreadtrum SC5735 are expected in H1 2014.

Judging by the Spreadtrum-powered smartphone prices, this should mean some *really cheap* quad core tablets. Not sure how good their designs, support etc are though…
And the proverbial question, but does it support XBMC?
But can it run Crysis ? 😀

Everyone on the PC side want to know if a new GPU can run Crysis at high resolution with everything enabled.
However for SoC and media players we instead want to know if it runs XBMC with hardware decoding
