QNAP TS-251D 2-Bay NAS Comes with an Intel Celeron J4005 SoC, HDMI, PCIe Expandability

QNAP TS-251DQNAP has introduced a 2-bay NAS powered by an Intel Celeron J4005 Gemini Lake SoC coupled with  4 GB SO-DIMM DDR4 memory. QNAP TS-251D also offers the option of getting an extra 5 or 10 Gigabit Ethernet port via PCIe card and supports video playback and output thanks to an HDMI 2.0 port.

QTS 4.4.1 (embedded Linux)

QNAP TS-251D runs QTS 4.4.1 embedded Linux distributions with applications such as QuMagie smart AI photo management application using AI image recognition to group similar photos together in albums such as “People”, “Things” and “Places”, QmailAgent for centrally managing multiple email accounts, Notes Station 3 for collaborative note-taking and workgroups, or Qsirch for quick file searches

The NAS also offers 4K media transcoding and streaming capabilities and provides a PCIe slot to add one of the following cards:

  • QNAP QXG  10GbE/5GbE network expansion card
  • QM2 card with an M.2-2280 slot for an SSD
  • QWA-AC2600 card with Wi-Fi 5 connectivity
  • QNAP USB 3.1 expansion card with two USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports
