EDGEHOG OS is a lightweight Linux distribution built with the Yocto Project and featuring Docker containers for easier OTA firmware updates and app deployments across a fleet of devices. The operating system is compatible with Arm and x86 SBCs and is optimized for embedded and IIoT applications thanks to a software stack handling cellular, WAN, LPWAN, etc… connectivity. As a side note, the company has also been working on Micro EDGEHOG OS, based on FreeRTOS and running on Cortex-M microcontrollers and ESP32 microcontrollers featured in the company’s SENSE-D01 node.
