E-Ink Digital Paper Tablet is about the size of an A4 or US Letter paper

While there’s now a bunch of devices with an e-paper display, be it tablets or eReaders, it’s harder to find a model that is about the size of A4 (297 x 210mm) or US letter (279 x 216mm) papers. E-Ink Digitial Paper Tablet solves this issue with an NXP i.MX 8M Mini-powered Android 9 tablet offering a 13.3-inch display (301.1 x 222.8mm), as well as a smaller 10.1-inch display, for business applications.

Both digital paper tablets feature E-Ink Carta 1250 screen technology with a higher contrast ratio and faster refresh rate, come with a digital pen supported by Wacom’s battery-free EMR technology, and are said to last about three weeks per charge for light usage.

Digital Paper Tablet Solution for Business

The company provides development resources with Android APK to assist developers in optimizing the app for the tablet, design, and programming guides including a Progressive Web Application (PWA) design guide, as well as a Kitting Tool user guide to easily modify tablet functionality by installing applications, changing default settings, updating firmware, etc…  A Digital Paper Control Server Software (DCSS) running on Linux or Windows will enable the secure transfer of unique PDF documents to and from unique Digital Paper Tablets.

Android 9??? And “Solution for business” and “talk to a rep” (i.e. if you have to ask the price, you can’t afford it)? This sounds relatively uninteresting. There have been overpriced large eink tablets for a while and this seems like another one. Inkplate 10 seems like the right approach. Now we just need a 14″ version.

Yeah, sounds like it. The “older” 13 inch version (with 1600×1200 only) comes at a price of 450$ for the display module only. So a tablet would be double that. I am yet to see a mainstream e-ink tablet manufacturer to venture into A4 size displays.

Love a tablet with standard paper size but refuse to join the cult of apple. Acer makes a Chromebook that is close enough….for now….1/3 the price of MacBook.
