Rockchip RK3568 TV stick WiFi 6

The TV stick ships with a 5V/2A power adapter and a male-to-male HDMI cable. As we noted in the RKM V7 announcement, Rikomagic probably selected the Rockchip RK3568 over the RK3566 processor to get access to a USB 3.0 OTG port.

Rikomagic sells the RKM V7P HDMI TV stick and digital signage on Aliexpress for $120 plus shipping, and you’ll also find the previous generation RKM V7 on the same page for $100 with 2GB RAM, 16GB eMMC flash, and WiFi 5 connectivity. Additional information may also be found on the product page.

      1. RKM seems to be quite big in the Android TV stick space…
Though you can’t really call this an HDMI “stick”

        1. And it is a good thing, that this one uses cable. I have when someone hangs 200 gram device on a flimsy HDMI port.

          1. And yet it would seem possible to get much the same level of performance out of an X96S, which is an actual HDMI stick…

          2. Also it’s much more difficult to find a male+female cable extended than a regular male-male one, so yes that’s much better like this.

    1. I wouldn’t assume that. A watchdog is just a useful thing to have when it’s a pain to get to hardware if the software ever crashes

    2. Rather that some people have expressed concerns on previous models lacking it. Indeed when you want a 24×7 system to stay up unattended, you’d rather have a watchdog. Praying for system package updates not to eat all memory resulting in sshd being killed for example is audacious 😉
