Most of the time for boards and systems targeting industrial or embedded applications, companies will not provide pricing information, and if you want a sample for evaluation, or want to order a few for a project requiring limited quantities, you’ll need to contact sales, talk about your project, volume, schedule, etc… But for VIA Embedded boards and systems, you won’t need to go through this loop anymore, as the company has just launched VIA Embedded Store where you can buy boards such as VAB-820 pico-ITX board or a rugged system such as AMOS-820 directly online without questions asked.
I’ve gone through most of the checkout procedure and you can proceed as a guest or by registering, and they’ll just ask billing and shipping information, shipping method, and payment method selection (Only Paypal at this time). It’s a simple as that, no need to fill some “I’m not a terrorist” forms like on some US websites.

Very nice boards! But the prices …
@Alex
Yes, it’s more expensive than hobbyist boards. But they can operate on wider temperature range, and I’d assume there’s long term availability.
It would have been interesting the SoCs, and without any NDA 😀
@bolsa
At least the VAB-600 Springboard has NDA-free software, can check out the Springboard site. Hopefully the rest of the boards will follow too…
They did this as a last ditch attempt to sell some Delta and Gamma chrome cards back in the day… I doubt that they will be more successful this time round.
Oh wow, it has come to this. They are even building boards without a single VIA chip on them…
They’ve also put their full embedded catalog online – http://issuu.com/viaembedded/docs/via_embedded_product_guide_2014
~100 pages, but this site is super slow for me…
@cnxsoft
Added the same thing to Slideshare as well, hopefully that will be faster experience, and also downloadable directly: http://www.slideshare.net/viaembedded/via-embedded-product-guide-2014
