The Ryzen R2000 mini-STX motherboard is designed for fanless operation, and Kontron provides support for Windows 10, Windows 11, and Linux 64-bit. If the name “D3724-R” sounds familiar, it’s because we previously wrote about the Kontron D3723-R mini-ITX board with very similar specifications. At 148x140mm, the mini-STX motherboard does offer a more compact form factor than the mini-ITX (170x170mm) motherboard, and Kontron also sells the SMARTCASE S511 chassis kit for the board.
We have not written about many mini-STX motherboards over the years, but we did cover another Ryzen Embedded mini-STX motherboard with the Sapphire FS-FP6 powered by the AMD Ryzen Embedded V2000 processor family.
Kontron D3724-R mSTX motherboard will start sampling this month. It is listed on EMKO IPC and Review Display Systems (RDS) will also sell the system. Additional information may be found on the product page.
