With new Intel Jasper Lake mini PCs just starting to coming down the pike, and Intel phasing out some of their Gemini lake processors, we may expect some discounts on selected Gemini Lake mini PCs.
Today, I’ve been tipped about two mini PCs with 8GB RAM, and 128 or 256GB storage that sells for under $200, namely:
- GK3V mini PC with an Intel Celeron J4125 quad-core processor, support for a 2.5-inch SATA drive, two HDMI ports, a VGA port, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi 5, and a few USB 2.0/3.0 ports. Sold for $175.36 with 128GB storage, and $194.98 with 256GB storage with the prices including shipping.
- CHUWI Herobox mini PC with an Intel Celeron N4100 quad-core Gemini Lake processor, a 256GB SSD, one HDMI port, one VGA port, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi 5, and five USB ports. The company sells it for $189.99 shipped, but you can get a $5 discount with a coupon (AUGSALE5), and even more interesting coupons to France, Spain, Russia, and Brazil as you can see in the illustration below.
Somehow, the company promises duty-free shipping to Europe from China. I’m not sure how it is possible with a $180+ product…

Gabe, the mini PC would be below 150 Euros with the 15 Euros coupon code for France and Spain. But I’m not sure how that would work for other countries. If they can deduct the shipping costs, then that’s fine. To Thailand, they’ll usually just write a fake price on the invoice, but it may not work in Europe…
No change there: VAT was already there. The seller could & can take of it (nice for the customer), which seems the case for the mentioned PCs (“vat included”), or the seller can leave it to customer.

Well, the price could be worse. Thinking what we have nowadays, it’s a nice offer nevertheless. What I don’t get is why a J4125 and N4100 have practically same prices, if J4125 is clearly faster. Maybe “better” build?
When we see the final list of what processors won’t run Windows 11 and Microsoft closes any loopholes then we may see a fire sale of fairly recent machines of epic proportions.
