AAEON PICO-EHL4-SEMI is a fanless Elkhart Lake mini PC designed for digital signage, smart retail (PoS and Kiosk), and industrial automation, and available with either the 10W quad-core Intel Celeron J6412 or the dual-core 6.5W Intel Celeron N6210.
The mini supports up to 16GB LPDDR4X memory, 32 to 128GB eMMC flash, optional mSATA storage, and comes with a 4K capable HDMI 2.0b video output port, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and two optional COM ports providing RS232/RS422/RS485 connectivity.

AAEON provides support for Windows 10 64-bit and Ubuntu 20.04.3 (IOT) with Linux 5.13 for the fanless mini PC. The mini PC is mostly interesting because of its tiny size, it is fanless and appears to be designed for 24/7 operation.
If the name rings a bell, it’s because the PICO-EHL4-SEMI mini PC is based on the PICO-EHL4 pico-ITX SBC introduced in 2021 with a wide range of Elkhart Lake processors from the Celeron N6210 to the Atom x6425RE. The “new” mini PC only offers two of those processors and a subset of the features since some of the internal connectors in the single board computer are not accessible with a metal case. It’s unclear why it took almost two years to launch the mini PC after the board was introduced.
The AAEON PICO-EHL4-SEMI (J6412) with 8GB RAM and a 32GB eMMC flash can be purchased online for $417 provided the company (re-)stocks it. More details may be found on the product page and the press release.
