HF10 is a 2-in-1 Android 6.0 TV Box & Bluetooth Speaker Powered by Amlogic S905X Processor

We’ve previously seen CS668 TV box combining an Android TV box, a Bluetooth Speaker, and a power bank into a single device, but audio quality is likely to be mediocre on such as small device. HF10 specifications: SoC –  Amlogic S905X quad core ARM Cortex-A53 @ up to 1.5 GHz with Mali-450MP GPU System Memory – 1GB DDR3 (option: 2GB) Storage – 8GB eMMC flash (Options: 16 and 32GB) + micro SD slot up to 32 GB Video Output – HDMI 2.0 up to 4K @ 60 Hz Audio HDMI output 2.5″ 10W mono bass speaker with class-D amplifier Connectivity – 10/100M Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0 USB – 1x USB 2.0 host port Misc […]

Amlogic S912 Android TV Boxes List So Far

Following up on the tradition to create list of TV boxes with popular processor, such as my Amlogic S905 TV boxes and sticks list, I’ve decided to generate a comparison table for the first ten Amlogic S912 Android TV boxes announced so far. There won’t be any S912 TV sticks, as the processor probably dissipate a little too much heat to be useful in that form factor. All TV boxes in the table below share the same Amlogic S912 octa-core Cortex A53 processor @ 2.0 GHz with an ARM Mali-820MP3 GPU, support for HDMI 2.0a output, HDR, 4K video playback for  VP9, H.265 and H.264 codecs, and run Android 6.0, so I only included columns for items that differ between products. Remarks: AV means 3.5mm AV jack with composite and stereo audio, and prices are usually retail prices with shipping by registered airmail from China, except for the ones followed […]

Eny EVR02 Virtual Reality Headset Powered by Rockchip RK3288 Processor Supports Full HD, 2K and 4K Displays

Rockchip has recently introduced Rockchip RK3399 processor promoting it as the “best choice for VR all-in-one“, but as development is still in progress, some companies has decided to use Rockchip RK3288 instead in their Android based all-in-one virtual reality headsets. Eny Technology is one of them via their EVR02 head mount display that features a 1920×1080 display but default, but the company also said they can support 2K and 4K displays on request. Eny EVR01 Android All-in-One Virtual Reality Headset Features Rockchip RK3126 Processor

I keep reading that in order to offer a pleasant user experience, virtual reality will require high resolution displays (4K or greater), and SoCs fast enough to handle all the extra data processing requirements, but some Chinese manufacturers are instead trying to enter the low end of the market with products such as Allwinner H8vr or HA544 which are way too weak to handle 3D graphics for VR applications in a satisfying manner, but could be good enough for watching 3D and VR video. Eny Technology has gone one step further (down) with EVR01 VR headset based on Rockchip RK3126 quad core Cortex A7 processor combined with a 5″ 1280×720 display. EVR01 AIO VR headset specifications: SoC – Rockchip RK3126 quad core Cortex A7 processor @ 1.3 GHz with Mali-400MP2 GPU System Memory – 1GB DDR3 (Optional 512 MB) Storage – 8GB flash (Optional: 16GB) + micro SD slot up […]

Eny EM95 Amlogic S905 TV Box Review

CNXSoft has already taken some pictures of Eny EM95 Amlogic S905 TV box, so I’ll take over from here as I received my ENY EM95 today and I was excited. I have not got a new Android device in a while. First Impressions I opened it up to find a tiny box that has a display on it. Seems interesting. While booting it says boot and the rest of the time it shows the time in 24 hour format and a few other indicators that I didn’t find particularly useful. In the retail box is the device remote and HDMI cable and power supply. I noticed no micro or mini USB port to flash firmware. I don’t have a type A to type A cable so will need to pick one up. I was working from home today so I was able to open immediately and play with it for […]

Unboxing and Teardown of Eny EM95 4K Android TV Box with Front Panel LCD Display

Eny EM95 was first unveiled in early July, as the flow of Android TV boxes based on Amlogic S905 started. Eny Technology has now sent me a sample of this device with the typical 1GB RAM and 8GB Flash, but it adds an LCD display on the front panel. Today, I’ll take a few photos of the device, and open it to find more details about the hardware. Eny EM95 TV Box Unboxing I received the device by DHL in a colorful retail package referring to EM95 as a Quad core Smart TV box, with some specs on the back, which I already listed in my first post. The media player ships with a 5V/2A power supply, an IR remote control with IR learning function requiring two AAA batteries, an HDMI cable, and a user’s manual in English. The style of the box it’s pretty neat, and I usually like […]
