Robustel industrial IoT gateways run Debian-based OS, offer 5G, 4G LTE, LoRaWAN connectivity

Robustel has launched three Arm-based industrial IoT gateways namely the EG5100, EG5120, and LG5100 that offer 5G, 4G LTE, and/or LoRaWAN connectivity, and runs Debian 11-based RobustOS Pro Linux operating systems

The edge gateways also feature two Ethernet ports, two RS232/RS485 ports for connection to industrial devices, digital inputs and outputs for simple monitoring and control, and support a wide 9 to 60V DC power input through a 2-pin terminal block.

Robustel Edge Gateway series support wall and DIN rail mounting. Both the Cortex-A7 and Cortex-A53 models run RobustOS Pro Linux distribution based on Debian11 (Bullseye) and support for Docker-based applications. The company also highlights support for C, C++, Java, Python, access to VPN options like Wireguard, IPsec and OpenVPN, full Modbus TCP and RTU to support transfer to cloud platforms, and Robustel’s management platform RCMS, which you can try for free online.

Robustel LG5100, EG5100, and EG5120 industrial IoT gateways can be integrated into various applications including robotics, Smart Cities, automated/autonomous vehicles, camera-based image recognition, real-time energy & grid management, and more.

The company says its edge gateways are available now for proof of concept and design work, and mass production is planned for Q4 2022. Further details may be found on the product page.

  1. Do you a distributor for Asia pac or specially in India , would like to have some information on these products , specially on OT or PLC , legacy industrial Devices for 5G network connection

  2. The EG5120 5G Edge Computing Gateway is now certified for Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) IoT Greengrass.
