AEC-Q100 qualified module features Allwinner T507-H processor for automotive applications

We first wrote about Allwinner T507 when we covered a module and devkit from Forlinx, but now MYiR Tech has designed its own AEC-Q100 qualified system-on-module (MYC-YT507H) and the MYD-YT507H development board based Allwinner T507-H processor.

AEC-Q100 module with Allwinner T507-H CPUSpecifications:

It’s unclear whether there are any differences between Allwinner T507 and T507-H processors from the specifications, so I’ve asked, and I was told that T507-H also supports HDMI, and not only LVDS and composite like the Allwinner T507.

The company provides Ubuntu 18.04.5 with Linux 4.9 and XFCE desktop environment, or the Qt5-based MYIR MEasy HMI V2.0 system with both local (display) and remote (web-based) human-machine interface to control all I/Os including RS232, RS485, Ethernet, CAN Bus, etc…

Open-source drivers are offered together with a binary GNU GCC toolchain, but only to customers. The company does not seem to pay much attention to detail as I was told about a new “SOM based on AllWinner T507-H processor which features a dual-core ARM Cortex-A72 industrial processor” and the wrong product link (that’s a habit from them) in the email they sent me, so I first thought “Allwinner finally got a Cortex-A7x CPU”, but that was a false alarm.

MYD-YT507H development board

MYiR Tech does at least one thing better than most industrial/embedded module vendors is that they make their pricing public and the hardware can be purchased online. The MYC-YT507H AEC-Q100 qualified CPU module sells for $34.90 (1GB RAM) or $39.80 (2GB RAM), while the development board goes for $119. Good luck even searching for T507 there 😉

But since Allwinner became the least innovative SoC maker in the meantime the good news is that T507 shares almost everything with (better) supported SoCs: https://oftc.irclog.whitequark.org/linux-sunxi/2022-05-05#30903199

Lol yepp not even the chip designation seems to be known by sunxi guys.

Linux 4.9 is in my field a nogo for a new development, especially with such a great bsp support as we all love and know from AW
